Isn’t Coogan’s family from Manchester?
From listening to Joy Division I always assumed it was cloudy all year round there.

Yes, Coogan’s family is from Middleton in Greater Manchester. His dad thought that ‘Greater Manchester’ has a ‘horrible, municipal, bereaucratic, soulless sound to it’ It had been Middleton, Lancashire, until the boundaries were redrawn in the mid 70’s but his father still insists on calling where he lives as Middleton in Lancashire.
Yes, it is mostly cloudy in northern towns in England.
