That’s not how you tune.
At the start of Lou Reed’s Take no Prisoners live album you can hear the band light up and pass around a joint for a minute or so. Just before they open up with Sweet Jane Lou explains the delay.
“Hello. Sorry we were late. We were just tuning.”
