God Was Good To Me Today

God was good to me today

He made the path of fate

Although, not always perfect

Today, He made it straight

When the world is going crazy

And there is no why or how

God places a cool hand

Upon my fevered brow

God was good to me today

He made my burden light

And had the grace to take away

The darkness in my sight.
